For the 8th year, WCI sponsored the Annual Prayer Breakfast on Monday, August 12, at 7:00 a.m. in Crystal Ballroom H. This annual event was a “kick-off” of the conference for interested persons. Each year, WCI introduces a respected individual in an industry not necessarily identified as “spiritual” to explain to the audience what their faith has meant to them in establishing their success. The remarkable stories told provide an inspiration to attendees regardless of their religious preferences, if any. This year’s speaker was Pastor Ron Simmons, the founding and senior pastor of Designer’s Way Christian Church in Tampa, Florida.
The breakfast included the gospel choir from Pastor Simmons’ church. Attendees for this event had an inspirational rare treat. Pastor Ron and the choir were back for their second year of participating in the prayer breakfast by popular demand. Proceeds received paid for the expenses of the event, with any overages being donated to the WCI® service project Give Kids The World.
