Comp Laude Prayer Breakfast (2017)

Please join us for an inspirational start to Comp Laude Awards and Gala 2017, with a Prayer Breakfast, on Tuesday, October 31, from 7:00 am – 8:00 am in Balboa C. This session is organized by the Faith Based Claims Association which works to provide  opportunities for God’s people to gather at industry events to establish relationships with other people of faith.

Following prayer, Bill Pipkin, Jr. will share highlights from prior sessions where Scripture provides us with direction to our professional lives. Comp Laude reflects the diversity we see in the workers’ compensation field and us the unity we should have that we all experience joyful and productive lives. Therefore, we will briefly look at direction provided in the Bible, including 1 Corinthians 12:15-19.

15 If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. 16 And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would be the sense of hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell? 18 But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose. 19 If all were a single member, where would the body be?

Chris Brigham, MD will then facilitate small group discussions of how Faith  provides us with direction in all aspects of lives, including the work we do. Please join us.
